No Greater Love

This is one of my earliest devotional pieces that I created for an Art show in Toronto with the theme "Love In the Air". This painting is inspired by scripture from John 15:13 when Jesus told his disciples “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” before his crucifixion to display the ultimate expression of His love for a world that ignored, scorned, and rejected Him. The Gospel of John records one of the most intimate account of the life of Jesus Christ, and on one of the most passionate and profound events in history.
